Easy Yahoo Maps Downloader 5.2

Easy Yahoo Maps Downloader lets you download map images. This app lets you specify an area of a map and download that as a JPEG image. To specify the area that you want to download, you have to manually input four values: left longitude, right longitude, top latitude, and bottom latitude. You can also choose between two map types (satellite or map) and select a zoom level. 1 is the closest zoom level that you can choose, but the trial version limits the zoom level to 13. After you have set all these parameters, you can start the download process. A single image will be saved to your computer. From the Tools menu, you can access a map viewer, which lets you load any tasks (your map downloads) and view the images from within the application.

The application works well. It downloads the specified areas into JPEG files. I would like it if there was another way of specifying what I want to download. After paying $34.95 for this application, you still have to do a lot of work to narrow down a location to a set of coordinates. A drag and drop box with which you could select the area that you want to download would work really great.
